Our mission as a church is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, to teach, baptize, and disciple unto maturity in Christ. To accomplish discipleship at Emmanuel, we focus on three words: Worship (Sunday Mornings), Grow (Small Groups & Ministry Groups), and Serve.
We believe that small groups provide one of the best contexts for believers to grow spiritually. They help connect people relationally in ways that encourage faith to deepen. Spiritual growth happens best through intentional relationships with other believers as we study and apply God’s Word together, pray for one another, and serve side by side.
While the primary purpose of small groups is discipleship, they also play an important role in spiritual and physical care. Small groups create a space for people to both receive care and extend care to others within the body of Christ.
Small groups provide a place for all believers to serve the body of Christ with their talents and Spiritual gifts. We encourage everyone at Emmanuel to serve in and through their small group.
Therefore, our vision is to see every person at Emmanuel connected and committed to a Small Group, Bible Study Group, or Ministry Group.
