Four Commitments

"Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

We gather to worship God

God alone is deserving of all glory. As a unified community we seek to worship him through praise, sacrifice, and thanksgiving, turning our hearts and voices to God in response to who He is and all He has done. We make a priority of gathering weekly with the whole body of Christ to exalt God to His rightful place in our lives.

“Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” Psalm 100:2-3

Revelation 4:11“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Colossians 3:16"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

We are formed by God’s truth

God has spoken, and we will listen. We are committed to being shaped in every aspect of our lives and community by the truth of God’s Word, as revealed in the Holy Bible. Preaching, teaching, leadership, governance, and practice will all be guided by the lamp and light of scripture.

“Sanctify them by the truth, your word is truth.” John 17:17

Psalm 119:105“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my path.”

Acts 20:27"For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God."

2 Timothy 4:1-2"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction."

We grow as disciples in community

God has promised to conform us to the image of Christ and to make us holy. This does not happen in isolation. We are committed to relational community and unity as we encourage, support, challenge, and care for one another in following Jesus. Through active participation in discipleship, fellowship, and meaningful relationships, we will grow in spiritual maturity and Christlikeness.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

Ephesians 4:14-16“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11"Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."

We are called, gifted, and sent as servants in God’s kingdom

We are not simply recipients of God’s grace; we are also vessels through which His grace is extended to others. God has called and gifted each of us with a purpose and mission in His kingdom, and He sends us out to serve Him wherever He has placed us. We commit to living on mission through service, evangelism, and missions—within our church family, in our community, and around the world.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

1 Peter 2:9“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

John 20:21"As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
